hi william welcome to open source, i have only been on here a few months so am a newbie myself. i was raised catholic but discovered buddha about 9 years ago. i particularly enjoy the writings of chogyam trunpa rinpoche, masao abe, sogyal rinpoche... psychology eh? i had a visionary experince years ago that encouraged me to go back to school. unfortunately i was talked to going into a field that i din't feel was my thing anymore which ws art and design. the experience gave me a lean towards psychology. so in between art classes i was in the library reading jung and others. i think of psychology as two friends listening to each others problems. i myself have a counselor for depression (which is much less of a problem now thanks to meditation and a small amount of medication) and even though i only see him once every two months, i found myself tired of talking about myself and wanted to know about him. his problems were mine and i learned to solve some of mine with his methods. i also think set and setting is very important, lots of plants! have a good one, zak.
