Comment by Dave Seibert on October 23, 2009 at 3:05pm - Contemplate the question - some questions just are not answerable in our current state of awareness and even to that perhaps would not even be a question in that state of awareness in which the answer is to be found. Francisco Varela, I think, is pointing to the idea of a non-zero sum solution between science and that which is not science; at least that "thing" that scientist refer to as science. Robert Wright points to the idea that all the viable cultural systems are evolutionary in that they have come about and are changed through a process of turning from win/lose (Zero sum) to Win/win (Non-zero sum) processes. We jsut need to keep the conversation going. Thanks to whoever post the video.
